When she went before the judge he asked her, "What did you steal?"

An Irish story for St. Patrick's Day Mrs. Donovan was walking down O'Connell Street in Dublin when she met up with Father Rafferty.

She replied, "Aye, that ye did, Father."

Army Life

Twenty-eight years ago, Herman James, a West Virginian Mountain man, was drafted by the Army.

On his first day in boot camp, the Army issued him a comb. That afternoon, an Army barber sheared his head.

On his second day, the army issued him a toothbrush. That afternoon, an army dentist yanked several of his teeth.

On his third day, he was issued a jock strap.

The Army is still looking for him...
Three aspiring psychology students were attending their first class on emotional extremes. "Just to establish some parameters, " said the professor, to the student from Arkansas, "What is the opposite of joy?"

"Sadness," said the student.

"And the opposite of depression?" he asked of the young lady from Oklahoma.

"Elation," she said.

"And you, sir," he inquired of the young man from Texas, "How about the opposite of woe?"

The Texan replied, "Sir, I believe that would be giddy up."
Ted was putting flowers on his Grandmother's grave he noticed a man, very distraught, in front of a tombstone several yards away. The man was on his knees, hands tightly clasped in front of him, rocking back and forth, head tilted upward to heaven, tears streaming down his cheeks, moaning softly, "Why did you die? Why did you die?" Over and over again.

Ted was overcome with emotion at this sight and went over to the poor man to try and console him. "Why did you die? Why did you die?" bellowed the man again and again.

Ted gently put his arm around the man and half whispered to him, "My Grandmother is buried just over there. Is a loved one of yours buried here?"

"No," sniffled the man, "It's my wife's first husband."

A cowboy rode into town and stopped at a saloon for a drink. Unfortunately, the locals had a habit of picking on strangers. When he finished his drink, he found his horse had been stolen. He went back into the bar and with a quick move of his hands, he flipped his guns into the air, caught them above his head without even looking and fired at the ceiling.

"Which one of you sidewinders stole my hoss!?" he yelled. No one answered.

"All right, I'm gonna have another beer, and if my hoss ain't back outside by the time I finnish, I'm gonna do what I dun in Texas! And I don't like to have to do what I dun in Texas!"

Some of the locals shifted restlessly. He had another beer, walked outside, and his horse was back! As he swung up into the saddle and started to ride out of town, the bartender ran out of the saloon and asked, "Say partner, before you go... what happened in Texas?" The cowboy turned back and said, "I walked home."
